I have a customer with a BCM 400 4.0. I have the system backed up thru the element manager and the file on my laptop. If the hard drive goes bad, can I restore with the element manager and and retain all programming and key codes?

Yes that should work.

I think it's Windows NT versions 3.7 and lower where you would need to reload keycodes but somebody else may verify.

Make sure to first patch the system with the same patches it had or higher before doing the restore.
