I read an older thread on here on how to factory reset the BCM 50.
Do these steps work on the BCM 400? I see there is, what looks like, a reset button on hte front of the 400. If these steps do not work for the 400, is there another way? I have a customer that has recenntly leased office space that has a BCM 400 and believed to be ver. 4.0. Using Element Manager, I get the error, Exception occured, please check the user ID and password and try again. So it seems that it is at least 4.0

No level 2 reset on a 400. If password is lost call Avaya to go thru back door and open your wallet or replace the HD and reprogram everything except the telephony side.

That is what I was afraid of.

Thank you.

You can re-image HDD
you need CD´s Image and BIT tool
and LAN 1 code generated by KRS Nortel Page
With this, you get BCM like recently bought

What is LAN 1 code? Also, I should be able to take a new BCM HDD and copy over the image to the old HDD, right, or to any other store bought HDD for that matter... Am I right?
