Does anyone know what is causing this error 52005 in a BCM 400 and what needs to be sone to correct it. It seems I am dropping calls in the middle of conversations wverytime this error occurs which is often.

Right from the Nortel Knowledge Base.

Solution Detail

BCM 4.0: Services failing and Alarms 52005 and 11204

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem Description
If voice mail is hosted on the BCM 4.0 and a message waiting indicator is sent to a voice mail client system over SIP, it is possible that Alarms 52005 and 11204 will be generated on the voice mail host BCM. Some services may go down or restart.

Problem Resolution
Patch BCM.R400.034 ,which deploys components IPTelProviderAgent: 41.130.1.43 and FEPS: 41.500.0.33, contains corrective content for this issue. Apply this patch to any site(s) exhibiting this symptom.

Thanks for the responce. I will check to see if that patch is loaded.

I have all current patches from Nortel in the system current to date, I am NOT using and VOIP trunking H3232/SIP and am still recieving Alarm 52005 (critical) that reads

*ERROR 52005 reset by network manager*
Contact local support group

When this occurs established calls on the PRI are cut off, however the phones and system appear to be unafected. I do not have any PRI errors nor any slipping. This is completely system related.

I guess the first thing you should do is check your patches. They should be up to date because they did have some major issues with one of them that wreaked havoc with the PRIs a while back. I think it was SU21. It didn't take them long to get rid of it but some of us were unfortunate enough to have loaded it.

You might want to start there and get it patched up and see if the errors and disconnects disappear..

Keep us posted.
