I need to backup a location remotely via a VPN. This system only has 20 digital phones, 8 trunks and 9 IP phones.

I want to do it during normal business hours. If I don't choose call pilot as one of the backup options will that leave the voicemail available for the customer to use and how long should the backup take? If I choose call pilot to backup will that take a very very long time?

 
How long is a piece of string? For example, if you have months of CDR files which are include in the backup, it could take quite a while. If you have many old mailbox messages, it could take quite a while too.

If you've taken a backup recently outside normal hours, review system alarms as it will give a start and end time.

For the config you have, I'd be surprised if it took > 1 hour. You won't know until you do it.
