anyway you can get out of someones mailbox to call someone else.
I tried setting up ASST in a mailbox to the Callpilot Application DN but it didn't work.

Any other ideas?

I need a good old revert DN as in bigger Callpilots

thanks

press # when finished recording, send the message then press 0 for the operator.

Thanks
but what I'm trying to get is:

I call a set rings 4 times and dumps to vmail I would like to have the option to call another ext. to get in touch with someone else.

is Target Att the only option ? They don't have an Attendant

only option seems to be hang up and call again

I have had customers ask this question before and have never been able to come up with at solution. I don't think its possible.

I think your correct RP.

Yes, it's possible. It's most likely *. But, if that doesn't work it's **, #, or ##.

Dewey is correct * to use Auto Attendant from a mailbox. Make sure Return to Auto attendant is set to yes. Or else it will just exit out of system.

Good to know

I tried * yesterday but I'll make sure Return to ATT is set to yes .

Thanks

This didn't work..

Return to ATT set to yes.
*
**
#
##
none of these work
anyone out there that could test this for me on their BCM?

I never had that option not working. You did set return to AA to yes in "auto-attendant" "general properties" "set return to AA-yes"? Are you using a greeting table with a home-menu node? When calling in, dialing the extension then 3-4 rings then mailbox greeting what's happening when you press the star button?

gberger

I have return to auto AA yes.
copper lines answered by Auto ATT with greetind table 1
using company greeting 1
dial by name or ext
rings four times on a set then goes to Vmail if you try to hit *, #, ## it still wants you to leave a message.

Maybe your required to leave a message before you can reach someone else but that's not what they are looking for?

They would like to reach someone else without having to leave a message.

You can have an individual Revert Dn per Mbox, controllable by user. It allows anyone to press zero anytime during the greeting or message and transfer to the predefined DN.

I have never not had * DN number, not get me to a new DN.

In that case, have your interconnect guy open a case at Nortel because it's really the first time i see the "return to AA" not working. Let us know what they found.

Just make sure that the VM is set for NVM not CP then the * should work fine.

techman63 i guess you're right, i just tried it on a meridian mail and the * doesnt work. i guess it the same thing with the CP interface on bcm...

vz make sure to let us know if techman had the answer, I never use CP, so that's good to know.

I can't remember which but I believe I was told a while back that this senerio depends on which interface (NVM or CP) your CP was setup to during the initial CP setup. The user options are slightly different between the two.

I'll try changing it to NVM when I get back out there.

Every install I setup I use CP interface so that could be it.

I'll let you know!

Thanks
