We switched over to SIP trunks with a telco provider and used a InGate box between. The problem is when I call out im can't use DTMF tones anymore. Telco says that they have everything configured correctly and expecting to see RFC2833 tones from the BCM but said we are not sending them. InGate says that they just pass DTMF through. Can the BCM send RFC2833 RTP payload for DTMF on SIP trunks?

Thanks for any info on this

Sorry I guess you are using the lan port for connection but in looking at the docs i don't see where the 4.0 supports direct SIP trunks the 5.0 does and there is documentation on connecting to the different SIP providers.

I did find this. It is out of a 5.0 sip guide.
BCM does not support inband DTMF. As a
work around, on the BCM, configure G.729 as the first preferred codec and G.711 as the second perfered codec.
