I am going to replace a primary HD is a BCM 400 3.6. When we boot up after replacement will the system automatically go to the mirrored drive to start system services and then start to write info to new primary? My settings are set at mirror mode and auto under the settings tab of disk mirroring.
Thanks

Yes, that should copy to the new primary drive. It will take some time to finish the copy.

That's not been my experience. I have always had to make sure that the mirrored drive is plugged into the primary cable and the new drive is plugged in a to the secondary, otherwise the system might copy the blank one to your only good one.

I know it's supposed to work in both directions, but a lot of stuff that 3.X software was supposed to do didn't exactly work correctly.

Good Luck with it.

Same experience here, make sure to get a blank relacement hard drive for the mirror drive and put the working old mirrored drive as master.
