I've read through related posts and can't seem to find my answer.
I've upgraded a BCM 3.7 to 4.0 and now was going to implement raid. I have a virgin 40 gig drive I'm putting in the secondary position and have strapped both drives as primary in the raid unit. Each time the BCM sucessfully boots up, the machine works fine but I get the message "2nd drive not installed" when I check the raid settings in element manager. Both lights are green on the raid card and the both status lights are red. I know I was probably better off to have installed the raid before the upgrade perhaps. Do I need to format the drive although this doesn't make sense to me as it's going to end up being Linux afterwards? I did connect it to my computer management and mark it as a partition to get past this stumbling point but with no change evident as of yet? I know a virgin drive dropped into a 6.0 just copies over no problem on the SATA drives. Any directions would be appreciated. Thanks!
