HI All ,

I have a BCM 400 4.0 sitting on a 192.168.0.x network via a BSR 252 nortel vpn box , a tunnel is built to a 192.168.7.x network via another BSR252 VPN BOX . The tunnel is up and IP phones at the satellite site can register to the BCM at the main site .However, two Ip phones at the satellite site can call each other OK , but whenever a call is made to or from the main site to the satellite IP phones we get one way voice transmission.I've checked all that I can remember...I have a feeling I may be forgetting something.

Someone Please help

On the BSRs, try disabling the firewall. It may be blocking the RTP packets required to talk between the BCM and the remote users.

The remote users can converse between each other because the RTP packets only go between the local IP addresses and are not sent to the BCM then back to the other IP set at the same office.

Also, try using wireshark and view the RTP packets to see where they are going/returning. This may help in troubleshooting the problem.

firewall is off!! I built another vpn branch office connection and it works fine both ways... to the main site

So turning off the firewall worked is what you're saying?

what I'm saying is that I still have one way speech between the main site and one of my stellite sites , however the IP phones at other vpn branch office I set up work just fine.

??

Branch to Branch works fine because the Branch tunnel settings allow for the IP ranges.

The satellite sites cannot talk because the client IP addresses are not permitted in the branch tunnel settings.

You need to add another entry in the VPN router at each site specifically allowing the IP's of the satellite sites.

Thanks much....I built the tunnels via the satellites and I now have two way xmission....thanks
