Got a BCM200 v3.7 that freezes up during the "Stopping the required services" stage. It also seems to have other problems as well since it won't register with the NRS. I can access it just fine though. Is there a service that I need to check?
Here's a couple of things to try.
1) log into Unified Manager Configuration
2) Highlight "System"
3) Choose the "Tools" pull down at the top of the screen
4) Select "Refresh System Inventory"
Also make sure there are no mapped drives.
You can check it by accessing the console menu via Putty or Telnet. Choose option 7 to drop to the command line.
Type Net Use and press enter.
If any drives are mapped it will show them.
Usually, mapped drives are setup in BRU for scheduled backups. If there is one there, remove it.
Try your patch again.
BTW - if its not already in, the 370.194 patch should be the first you load.
Here's a couple of more.
1) Make sure the BCM host name is unique. I suggest adding BCM to the end of the host name.
2) In certain rare scenarios on upgraded BCMs the name of the "F" and "G" partitions may become "reversed".
F partition should be "NNActive" and G partition should be "NNInactive".
Thanks. I ended up replacing the hard drive in the interest of time, this system had other issues too. I will put the hard drive in a lab system and see if I can get it to behave.
