BCM 3.7 to 4.0 upgrande

I try to upgrade my bcm 1000 3.7 to 4.0 and when I start my upgrade cd 1 it start with a pre-check wizard. This pre-check failed due to Timeout waiting for results from BCM but when I try the pre-check tool I've downloaded from the Nortel site (vers 1.0.6)it's works perfectly.

Is it possible to overpass the pre-check to do the upgrade?

No, this is a known issue by Nortel. They will be coming out with the new Upgrade Software that will eliminate this issue.

I tried this upgrade: BCM 4.0 Upgrade v 2.21d
and it does the same thing. I still get a timeout from the BCM.

Do I need to install all the patches for 3.7?
