First off, thanks to everyone answering my questions and I try to wrap what's left of my brain as I try to install a BCM I inherited.

I have a 3.7 with a PRI (11 channels) mapped to target lines. I can make outgoing calls and incoming calls go to the CallPilot Auto Attendant.

What I would like to do is route the last 4 digits of the incoming line to the appropriate extension. I know this is called DID, but I don't know where this is referenced in the Unified Manager config. I am just lacking in vocabulary to appropriately describe/search for what I am looking for.

Second, I want to set up a dial rule so that users don't have to dial "9" to access one of the PRI lines. I would like it if they just started dialing. Again, I don't know what this is actually called so if someone could point me in a direction, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Program external hotline for each set and make the external number a 9. Make sure all sets have a minimum of 2 intercom keys so they can still dial internally on the second intercom.

DIDs use target lines. You need to find out how many digits are being sent by the telco, then program the receive digit to match. then start assigning target lines to sets and programming the rec'd digits for each target line.

Remeber that when you use the hotline to dial the 9 they will not hear a dial tone it will put them on the PRI and it will be silent. And just dial the #.

Thanks guys!

I will check with the telco vendor tomorrow to see how many digits are being passed. I know it is working now, because we have an Asterisk system that is working as I described.

Now that I am thinking about it, I really don't see a downside for people to dial a 9 for an external call. I like that process flow.

But just for grins....

If I wanted to create a dialing rule, could I say anything that started with a 5 was internal and everything else go to the PRI?
