Hi all, i try to access the desktop of the NT4 by connecting keyboard mouse and VGA screen on the BCM
But the BCM stop at the NT4 Loading screen.... and when at the loading screen, Keyboard is no more functional, ctrl+alt+del do not work, and also numlock button, but the bcm started normaly and everythign is working, so there is anyway to acces the desktop like a normal computer ?

Thanks,
Mike

are you able to ping the BCM system. Does the phone system have voicemail access and if so, can you access it to listen to any voicemails.

If the answer is "NO" to both of them, then it's likely that the hard disk is corrupted or faulty as the BCM will be running in limp mode.

As i said, the bcm start normally and everything is working normally services telephony network etc ping working and element manager also, there is no problem on the bcm, i just wondering if we can access the desktop to manage easyer the logs and other details.

It looks like if nortel configured the windows nt to do not show up the desktop... or maybe it need a keycode?

Thx Mike

Hello Mike

As your system is at 3.7 on the old Windows NT platform, then the only way to access it is via the Browser or perhaps telnet if it was enabled.

I'm assuming that you have the password. The default accounts were (I think) supervisor or ee_admin. I can't help you with passwords on this forum.

I think you will also require an old computer running very old Windows software (XP) and an old version of Java. You might have access issues on the newer ones. I still carry around a Windows 98SE and XP hard disk, when having to work on these old things.
