Hopefully someone can help....

I lost incoming/outgoing calling ability on my PRI late yesterday. Internal calling on both digital and IP sets are fine. If you dial in, you get a slow busy. If dialing out, the phone says "No available lines."

In my diagnostics, I found that the BCM reports D-Channel VTERM is "Deactivated" I also get an Alarm 75 that the clock control is in free run. I am assuming that this is due to the D-Channel

Is this the BCM or my carrier? Everything I search for comes up with an Option 11 and most of the answers are the carrier.

Could the DTM go partially bad?

Please help!

Hello Allan

Your thoughts on it being the carrier are correct. I've had the same problems over the years and it's always been the carrier.

It usually happens if the ISDN link is provided using standard telephone wires rather than fibre. Sometimes it can also be a bad connection in the Telco exchange.

Alarm 75 is very common.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

I had one that was intermitent and it was discovered that the tie connections were not good.

Thanks for the answers guys!

While reading them I also had the idea pop into my head...."hey, disconnect the DS1 to the BCM. If the slow busy is still there, then the problem is definately at the telco." Well...slow busy was still there.

So, I told the techs this AM that I spoke to BCM pros (you guys) and the concensus was "carrier." They came out, and confirmed. All is well.

Cheers guys! The next round is on me.....
