I have been researching the BCM400 3.6 to 4.0 upgrade proceedure. I am going onsite out of town on Friday. I have accessed the system remotely and can go to the BRU but cannot get the configure button to ever laod and come up. The upgrade proccedure states to set the password back to default. It states the username as one starting with "e" and the password as one starting with "P". I can log into the system with only a default username that starts with "s" and a password that start with "v". Does this system have a password from default that is like the proceedure states?

As long as the login you are describing has admin ability it is no problem to change password for ee_admin. However if you do not have a username with Admin abilities you may have some fun with this one.

But I guess my question is does the system that has the default user name of supxxxxxxx have a default username of eexxxxx also?

Not if it was upgraded from a earlier version but you can make one.

If I remember correctly on BCM 3.x eexxxxx profile couldn't be deleted. So if u know its current pswd just reset back to the factory default as per the doc.
