BCM 3.6 CLID showing numbers only

Is there a way to show the name and number? I have searched the manuals and haven't been able to find the spot to confiugre this. Can someone point me to it?

You can display the name if it matchs a name in the speed dial list. If you require a name to come out to identify a line.
You will need to tag the target line with the name and on the extension or DN set the telco features to display the name first rather than the number.
To change the line name you will fing this under general on the line section in programing

you might want to increase the speed dial capacity to 255 if you have not done so already.You will also find the parameter for the CLID match length in the same place.

services-----telephony services----- general settings-----then click on the word feature settings.

Thanks mrmarshall, I found it and its set to display name first but we are still getting numbers. I will have to check to see that I am getting names on the pri caller id. I was told some vendors charge extra for that.

Is it the callers name

example

1234567890 rings in he is a regular client you want to identify him by name.

If this is the case put his name in your speed dial list and when he or she calls then it will display this name.

We just switched from copper trunks to a t1 pri. On the copper when a customer would call it would display "Mcdonalds" then the number. I spoke to my t1 privider and they said it is not uncommon for them to forget the flag to provide the name. They are checking that out so I am sitting tight until that is checked out.

OK we have not got that facility in the UK we have to tie the name to a speed dial. The name for this in the UK is alphatagging. Hope you get sorted.
