BCM 3.6 Caller ID Display

I have a problem with a BCM 400 3.6 and caller ID.
Under =>Line Access=>Line Assignment, the sets target line is set to 2 appearance, ring only. Caller ID set is set to "yes". Under "Telco Features" the "First Display" is set to "Name" and Auto Caller ID to "yes". My problem is this;
When someone is talking on this phone and the next call comes in, the new caller's ID info only displays for a brief second and then the display goes back to showing the current calls information.

How can I fix this? Or is is something that is "just the way it is"? I just recently put the cumulative patch on with a few other recent ones, so I should be good there. Please advise.
 
This is the way it is, but you can use the Line ID feature code to check it again, which would only be useful if you had that feature pgm'd to a key.
The feature escapes me at the moment since I've been keeping busy with Cisco lately. I'll see if I can find it.
 
Call Display
Information
If the telephone is programmed to allow CLID, the telephone displays the name, number or
line name of a ringing or active call. If the call was redirected, redirection information can also
be viewed.
Activate feature: FEATURE 811
Press # to move through the information displays.
