BCM 3.5 keycodes

Will be loading some voicemail box keycodes on a BCM 3.5 and can't remember if the system will reboot automatically or will it need a reboot at all for the keycodes to take effect, customer doesn't want to reboot during the day

No. You will not have to reboot for vmail keycodes.

I don't think voicemail keycodes require a reboot.
The only keycode I can think of off the top of my head that requires a reboot is VoIP Trunking.
