We have a BCM behind a Netscreen firewall. We have created a MIP (Mapped IP) from the external interface to the BCM. I have all ports TCP and UDP open. I can ping the BCM, get on the SSH, telnet etc. However when my IP phone tries to connect, it simply hangs.

Any Ideas?

Are there issue using NAT? Is there something I am missing?

Please help!

Richard

Not sure if there are enough details but if you are using NAT on the BCM rather than an assigned fixed IP address that could be your problem.
Post more details and you can't miss getting an answer on this forum.

BCM Internal IP

The external IP is mapped on the Netscreen to the non-routeable IP on the BCM. All inbound ports are open from that external address to the internal one. The BCM is not in NAT mode, it simply has an IP address, netmask and Gateway.

Thanks again.
