I replaced the DSM32+ and 4x16 with the DCM16+ and G4x16. The DIP swith for the DSM32+ were set as off on on on on on.
The DIP swith for the 4x16 were set as on on on on on off.

I want the new modules to replicate the same functionality of the previous but when they're placed in the slot it's only the first module DSM 16+ that is numbered correctly
(800,801,802 - 815). The second module starts at 832, 833 etc. I want the second module to continue from where the first left off for this is how the system and cabling has already been provisioned for. I already figured out that it's the DIP switches that need to be set but i have no idea what position they need to be set in.

ext 800 port 0201
ext 810 port 0211

ext 832 (which is supposed to be 822) port 0301

How do i get 832 to revert back to 822. Can anybody asssist on what the DIP switch settings should be...

Thats because the DSM16 takes offsets 0 and 1 and leaves open offsets 2 and 3 on bus 2. Bus 2 has 32 extensions pre-assigned to it (Port 201-232 Extension range 800-831). The 4x16 will have the same extensions as the old 4x16. You cannot have the 16 sets from the 4x16 on bus 2. You have to renumber the DNs one at a time or use the DN renumber wizard if you have 3.7 or lower.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

I'm pretty sure you have "set relocation" set to no.
Put back the original modules, make sure the extensions are now correctly numbered then put "set relocation" to yes, power off, put back the new module and power on. The extensions should have followed.

makes sense.Just re-nunmbered them. Thanks all!
