BCM 200 never used, do I need any upgrade patch?

Have to admit, we have a BCM 200 never taken out of the box, 4 years old, what would be needed to have software upgrade so it works well, it has 4 trunk 8 digital set.

What s/w level? Could purchase a s/w upgrade kit to bring it up to 4.0. Depending on s/w could just load current patches.

It will work just fine with what it has. 3.6 or 3.7.
Unless you are going to use VOIP.
