We have a BCM200 v3.6 that we have in our test lab that we use for staging equipment. Just recently, almost all of the LEDS on the front panel starting flashing and the BCM200 no longer works. The type of things we were doing to it were networking security testing (port scans, vulnerability assessment). Anyways, we need this machine back up and can't seem to get it work and was curious if the front console port can be used in anyway. We have a CS1K which works and have all the cables and was curious if we can use the same console cables from the CS1K to get to some sort of maintenance. I also have the optinon to take the hard drive out and plug into another machine to see what it going on, but wanted to try the console port, as it should be there for a reason.

Any help would be appreciated. We can still get to the Web Server, but can't login.

Slide the BFT (Base Function Tray) out and look at the
Capacitor's to see if theyare green or Blue, if there green they may have the leaking problem. you may see bulging at the tops and a gray matter leaking out on the bottom or top.

If you have the green leaking caps, you'll need to replace the BFT. They are under warranty with Nortel 12/30/06 so act fact.
