BCM 200 3.7 external Page system Dead

We cannot get this paging system hooked up. I have a customer that had this paging system on a MICS and need to move it to a BCM. We moved the Tip/Ring to the page port and could not hear anything. We also made sure all the timers are set and phones enable for paging. Any ideas?

If you get nothing on your test set, I would suspect a bad page port on the MSC card. Ran across that a couple times. Replacing the MSC card is the only solution.

Do you hear a "click" from the MSC when doing F62?

Yes...I was thinking the same thing. I am leaning towards replacing it. I was just trying not to do that 1st..I guess thinking of something obvious. But I think it is staring me in the face.

I'm replacing one right now for other reasons - it's not bad if you follow the procedures in the document. That is if the restore I just started works like it's supposed to....

Did you try to reverse Tip and Ring?
Dis you use External Paging?

No..No offense taken..But I haven't tried to reverse the t/r but I can do that today...And we did use external paging..But we got some stuff to work with..I bet its the card though.

yes. we hit all the zones except external..can do just set and we can do specific zones as well.

I guess you should try the MSC card then.

you can also hook the paging input to a non equipt trunk. Assign trunk to a set and go off hook to test. If it works its not your page port.
