I've got a BCM 200 3.5 that's not functioning properly. Some sort of power issue over the weekend messed up the hard drive, which is now giving me the "Windows NT could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \%systemroot%\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMHardware Profile/Last Known Good menu" error. No ERD disk or backup. We can dial out, but can't dial extensions at other sites and if someone dials our external number the line rings continuously.
I took the hard drive out and put it in two different PCs to try to fix the issue, but neither PC will recognize the drive.
I have a new (as of early this year) 3.7 drive that I got from Nortel. I tried swapping that into the system, but it's not working either. I get the premliminary boot screen, see the "Nortel Networks" white splash screen, and then the system hangs with a blinking cursor. I put this drive into a PC and everything seems fine with it.
All the lights (with the exception of power) on the BCM are flashing. I replaced the BFT several months ago and I'm certain this is just a hard drive issue.
At this point, should I just get a new drive? Would the software version (3.7, 4.0) matter? Would I need to reapply keycodes or anything? We're not using voicemail on this system.
