I have a BCM 400 rls3.7 currently running on a 2/6 split. I have approx. 28 7316 phones and 8 I2004's. Should I change to a 3/5 or are my resources O.K.?

Any ip trunks or remote ip sets? if not 2/6 will be fine, you are way under your resource limit.

No IP trunks, all 8 IP sets are at one single remote location.

You only need to start to worry about the split when you exceed 50 IP phones and even then you will have other problems before that depending on the codec.
