If you up grade to 4.0 you would get a new hard drive and memory and a auth code to 4.0.The system would need to be reprogramed.2.5/3.0/3.1/3.5 are discountinued.
I have seen them on Ebay in the last couple of weeks for about $5 and they had the CD's and the Auth Code. When you try to use them the PC your using will need the Date moved back to 2006 to make them work. I just did one last week on a BCM 1000 from FP2.5 to 3.0 to 3.6.
Thanks,Cook.I knew that. But I've done what Ace said many times.I'ts just that now that they are discontinued, they are hard to find. You can still get the keycode from KRS,it's the auth code thats the problem.I just aquired a customer that is at 2.5 and i would rather not reprogram this machine.Off to Ebay I go.
I was told by a nortel tech that you could use the same authcodes to generate multi keycodes as they were free upgrades, I havn't tried this but if you have access to KRS give it a try.
I'm reasonably sure that I saw several unopened 2.5 to 3.01 upgrade codes in my office. I'll check on my next visit in. I know that we don't have the 20gig drives if you are in need of one of those though.
