We have a client (not our install) has a BCM 1000 Edge I guess older style cabinet. Fan is squeeling louder and louder. Is it safe to assume we just need to replace the fan. And is the standard BCM 400-450 fan the part to use ????

It depends. If the cabinet says Business Communications Manager on it, then it uses the same fan as the BCM400. If it says Enterprise Edge, it is different.

I would measure the fan and visit my computer store for a generic replacement...
