Has anyone tried to connect BCM ver 2.5 with more recent versions of BCM over IP?

I have a BCM 1000 at one site and a new BCM 50 (3.7) trying to attempt to get VoIP working using VoIP Gateway licenses.

The connection is established but no voice is being transmitted. The QOS on the link is good.

Does anyone know of any patches on the BCM 1000 that is available? I have read somewhere about a patch to bring H.323 up to version 4....not sure if this is related.

Upgrading the BCM1000 is not really an option due to the costs involved.

Thanks to anyone who may have some ideas.

2.5 to bcm50 is unsupported as far as i know.
but you should install the latest patches for both BCMs.
if it is still not working check your payload-size settings (both sides same value)

if it is still not working check if there are no ports blocked on the network. (speech path)

BCM 2.5 uses H.323 V2 - H.323 V4 came out in release 3.0/3.01 if memory serves me correctly.

Regardless, I believe the BCM 50 will only talk to a release 3.0 or higher BCM.

Release 2.5 will be unsupported when release 4.0 ships - the upgrade keycode to go from 2.5 to 3.01 is free. I'd recommend upgrading it anyways.
