Have a client with a BCM 1000 running 3.7 they are reporting intermittent occurences when they answer the phone that they can hear the calling party, but the calling party cannot hear them (they say that it's not just low volume, the calling party cannot hear them at all).

I'm pretty sure it's not the analog trunks themselves because the only way in for the callers is to go through the automated attendant, so obviously they have audio going outbound until the call is transferred to the extension. No fancy stuff on this system... analog trunks and digital sets, no voip or anything of that nature.

Has anyone seen this, any ideas... i'm stumped.

Cheers,

When that happen, ask them to put the call on hold and take it back, they will be able to see on which line the problem occurs(ex:Line 061) then go on site and swap that line with another one and see if the trouble follows. If it does, have the Telco verify the line.
