I've got an old BCM 1000 that is dropping calls periodically. The telco says is on our side of the smart jack.

My first recommendation will be to replace the DTI card but the only thing I see online or with my supplier is the DTM card NT5B04AAAD. Are these cards the same?

Second recommendation is to change the main unit to a BCM 400 or 450... any opinions as to the relative merits of moving to the 450 rather than the 400?

Curlycord:

They'll have an upgrade kit (s/w & HD) for the 200/400 to upgrade it to 5.0

Yes I know but he has a 1000.
No sense buying a 400 then going through all that migration to a 450.
You need to purchase 3 parts, a key code and some time spent when best to just go straight to 450.

Thanks guys. I'm going to offer to replace the DTI with a DTM and see if that works. If they don't want to go that route I'll suggest the 450. Thanks!
