I have the following light on the DTI card light amber

There is a circle with a dot in the middle with an arrow pointing to the dot

and the light is amber colored next to the triangle with 2 lines or quotes on the right top side of the triangle

Any idea of what the light means?

You can look it up in the manual on the BCM, thats where I would have to go if I needed to know what it means.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

I tried the manual but could not find anything.

I don't have access to a system, but I know it is there as I have used it more than once. just look under the DTI Mod and it shows everything you need to know.

Is there a problem or are you trying to learn about this?

With a yellow (amber) alarm the circuit will be non-functional

I have an issue on my BCM. The circuit is fine, I can still make calls on the line. The line is a point to point T1. The problem is when talking over the line, there will be dead silence about 1 or 2 mins into the call and 6 seconds later, everything is OK

I was wondering if the light would help in fixing the issue. AT&T has monitored the line and put COS on it, but still gives us the same issues.

Not sure, we're going through a cisco router to a cisco router.

One of the Ciscos will be the CSU and the other the DSU end. It may not matter, but it wouldn't hurt to check and see if the BCM attached to the master router is the master clocking source in your network.

That sounds like your receive leds

Receive Alarm = On indicates a problem with the received digital transmission. This half-duplex link does not work.

Receive Error = On indicates a small error as a result of degraded digital transmission. Possible causes are an ohmic connection, water ingress, or too long a loop.

Was this working or is this a new T1 install? I would look also at what crowtalks was saying.

It was working fine, the line has been up for a year or so. AT&T has worked on it many times and have yet to get it right. Can you tell me what the Triange with 2 hash marks on the right top side symbol stands for on the front of the DTI card.
