I'm having an issue with putting an Engenius Cordless phone using the analog port on the BCM. The Engenius phones are used by the queue agents and they log-in through their desktop phones and when they need to get up they transfer with feature 4 to the analog extension with the Engenius phone.

Here is the issue, once a call comes in through the queue and gets transfered via feature 4, and the agents takes the call on the cordless phone, the desktop handset agent gets put on busy.

Has anyone had any simular issues or fixes

call forwarding (F4) and call center dont work well together.

Why dont the agents log on/off directly from the analog phones (I'm assuming that you are using the BCM's ACD)

I thought of that, but I cannot get the agent logon feature code to work on the analog port. Most of the other feature codes work, just not the agent login

If you program the analog as an answer DN of the digital set the agent sets at, it may not see it as a bumped call.

I just looked up on the cinphony there is a special code to be dialed from analog set ... so F904 will not work -
my bad

try crowtalks' suggestion

Where is the answer DN setting. I see a control set DN setting

I did find the answer DN on other lines but it is not an option on the analog line

There is no answer DN option for analog extension, and as far as I know for the BCM only 2 lines or one line display Nortel phone will be able to log in as agents not analog phones.

I think I misread the answer, so I added the analog portable ext to the desktop agents phone ANSWER DN, I will see what happens

Actually, the answer DN setting would need to set up on the analog DN as an answer DN for the digital station so the Engenius will ring when the digital station does.

According to techman63, you may not have the feature available on the Engenius DN, though.

If you don't need too much coverage, i would install a 7406e instead. You program your login and busy keys on it and it will always work.

I just purchased the 7406e and will use it in the main office. But the technical dept is 3 buildings away and like to roam around. Too much space. The engenius work fine but really have issues with the BCM.
