Hi All,

I would like to forward via BCC all in/out going messages including internal email to another account for backup perposes. Does anyone know how to forward all mail through exchange 2000 to a particular account?

Great Forum, and thanks in advance.

James.

There is no need to archive (or BCC) messages to perform a backup.
The store holds it all anyway.
All you will be doing is doubling the mail-usage.

Besides that, it can be in conflict with Privacy regulations, double-check that.

Mark,
"backup" main mean archive in the compliance sense.

Defo journalling. Or look at bespoke archiving solutions.

Can you rephrase that Zel? I don't quite get what you mean by this.

Marc

Backup / archiving meaning "take a copy of all inbound email for compliance purposes"

So definitely he should enable journalling but to do this properly, KVS Enterprise Vault / CommVault / AfterMail etc should be considered.
