This thread in the XP Forum really needs some hard disk expertise given to it.

This poor guy is going crazy with a file copy issue, and I am leaning more to thinking this is a hard disk controller/device driver error than an Operating System issue.

Any help you gurus can offer would be appreciated.

And my personal thanks for anyone who helps.
