I need to upgrade to CCM V.4, do I HAVE to upgrade software to BC11 or is there anyway to run on BC9.

CCM 4.0 is working on BC9 also. CCM4 is for BC9, 10 & 11.

Goodluck with the upgrade.

Kings1. Thank you, you may have just saved me €35,000. Can you give me more information on this so I have something solid to go back to Damovo with. Are you running CCM V.4 on BC9, do I need to add anything extra to my current system etc etc.

Many Many thanks, this could mean more money my paypacket, I'll buy you a "virtual" drink.

Hint: CCM2.0 was not lizenced in the same manner like CCM4.0. You should think about, how many Information-Manager and how many Configuration-Manager you need in the next years. To order this amount as an upgrade, it is much more cheaper then to buy this license later as a new license.

What you really have to think about when you upgrade from CCM2.0 to CCM 4.0 is if you want the old data to be exported into CCM 4.0. If that is what you want you must use the xferdata.exe from the CCM 4.0. There is a xferdata.exe in the CCM 2.0 system but it cannot export the data in 4.0 format. You have to install CCM 4.0 on a new server. Copy the xferdata.exe from CCM4.0 to the CCM 2.0 server and do the export from there. CCM 2.0 is not compatible with SQL7.0 or SQL2000 as CCM4.0 is so you can´t upgrade to CCM 4.0 on the same machine as you are running CCM2.0 today.
