Hi MD specialists!

Are HDU2, HDU5, HDU6 and HDU7/2 compatible with BC7 ?

It is a PC Soft Disk used as external backup device in BC7.
There is need to trash ) computer with PC Soft Disk. We are going to put HDU in MD110. This is reason of my question.

Best regards and Lots of luck in New Year!

Does it mean that I can (using suitable commands) disconnect IPU from PC Soft Disk and connect to HDU 2,5,6,7/2 ?

By the way:
HDU2 has a plug on front which looks like input power plug. Does it mean that I can put HDU2 outside of backplane MD110 (for example on a table ) )and connect to IPU using SCSI cable and to PU4DC using power cable ?

correct

dont know about the power connection on the hdu2 though
sorry

There were no problems with HDU2&HDU3 in BC6&7.

But in was not possible to use more than 255 Mbytes on HDU 6&7.
That was because IPP unit used 8 bit variable to store HDU size.

To override it, IPU must be at least R15A and are to load up 2 corrections in BC7.1:
S48663A
U45984A

If you need those corrections, post your e-mail and I'll sent them to you.

Regards
