BC12 CIL custom format

I have set up a custom format for call logging and it works fine however the total width of all the fields in the output is 88 characters which doesn't give me enough space to collect all the info required. I see in other standard formats there is a carriage return but I see no way to inset one in the custom format. Am I missing something?

And here is a sample of output which I pasted into notepad then tabbed across to count spaces (Hasn't pasted in here properly & I replaced some characters with *) . It matches the formatting exactly.
