BC11 upgrade

We currently have a MD110 at BC9 with DNA 3.0, CCA 1.0
We have now decided to have a look at upgrading to BC11.
Does anyone have any comments on BC11? How do they find it? is it worth the cost of upgrading? Did anyone have any problems when upgrading?
One of the things I am interested in is ACD functionality.
We currently use an Avaya INDeX for most of are call centre stuff. Do you feel that the MD110 BC11 could handle this better?

I know I am asking a lot of questions in the one post but any information will be very helpful.

BC11 seems to be the more stable of the upgrades that I have come across so far.

As for ACD, a few nice tricks have been added such as Backup ACD groups meaning that if the LIM in which the acd group resides goes down the acd will auto reroute to a prespecified acd group, also any queued traffic will be routed to the Backup group.

Also the amount of groups per lim and system have been increased as well as the amount of calls that have been placed in the queue.


bc11 also offers enhanced DECT phones with the option of SMS paging to those phones either from sw/bd or an intranet site.

Freeseating is now a designed function rather than a patched system.

And there's lots of little goodies that weve been asking for for years like the ability to dievrt a hunt group externally now exsists (via an abb dial number)!!!!

Multi divert no longer exsists but you can divert one phone to up to 9 other positions (internal and external) and it does not have to follow a chain as bc9 did.

There are a lot of improvments in bc11 but to get them all id contact your sales/account manager

Hallo,

the best thing you have forgotten: In BC11 every Mobil Phone can be a fully integrated Extension!!! (Mobile Extension). I think this is unique in the world. For example: You can call by Mobilphone a other Mobile Extension (Mobilphone or extension) and at busy or no answer you initiate a callback.
