Hi

Are there any differences regarding services/features except that the BC11 SP12 ITG is not integrated as the BC12 ELU32/1 solution is ?
As the ITG uses Webswitch technology and through Net Manager application it seems that a lot more can be defined than is the case for the BC12 ELU32/1 and the RI commands.

Thanks !

If you refer to network MD’s over IP there is a significant difference. In the integrated solution the media will always be setup peer to peer. IE if you have 2 networked MD’s which each has 1 IP phone the media path will be between this set and the MD’s only supervising the connection. In the WS solution this call will go through MD’s and WS causes the call to be coded and decoded 4 times instead 0.

So you are saying that the internal solution of BC12 with ELU32/1 is the best solution regarding performance ?

The difference is IP-Networking .
BC12
Ip networking of md's are done with the ELU32 board .
BC11
Uses ITG and TLU76/1 , so it will produce more delay/jitter caused by the extra coding/decoding compaired to BC12 solution.

IMHO the only advantage of working with ITG(webswitch)is the case where you have a remote office with ip phones only connected via router to your main office. the main advantage is in fact that you can have an EEBG (webswitch) at the remote site. if the WAN goes down, the ip phones can register themselves onto the EEBG and call via PSTN which is connected to the EEBG. Lars do you have BC12 ALEX? ITG-EEBG scenarios are very well documented.

greetings,

whosrdaddy , I have ALEX BC12 SP12 which also have alot about ITG and EEBG/DRG .
I don't have ALEX BC12 yet so I am not that uptodate on the ELU32/1 integrated IP trunking yet.
But hopefully I get this in the very near future... :)

Anyway thanks for good answers !

Hi,
what about faxing? How could you transport faxes through MD110 BC12 IP network?

Duvel, why don't you have ALEX BC12 ????
(You future has passed already)

Faxing over ip in BC12 DRG to ITG w/TLU76/3 .
(same as bc11)
