Hello,
I have recently upgraded a system to BC11. Since the upgrade when you dial an 0870 number from site the translated number that sits behind this is being displayed on the user's DTS. Does anybody know how to prevent this?
I have checked route settings and the system parameters but no joy. Now going mad!!!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

first you have to find out how it is programmed.

most likely you wil find an entry in the ENT table
please reply with the printout of this command :

LCDDP:TAB=ENT;

Hello,
I have entered the command you listed but the response is:
NOT ACCEPTED ENTRY NOT FOUND

The "9" calls don't utilise LCR only the mobile calls in the DNT table. Level 9 calls from this exchange are routed on the dest code of 9.
Regards.

Can you give the printout of RODDP:DEST=ALL; ?

This is not always a problem with the MD110.

I presume you are going out on a Q.931 or a DASS pipe?

On some occasions BT (or your network provider) seem to pass back the translated B number information.

I have noticed that when you dial certain non-geographic numbers, such as National Rail Enquiries, or the Royal Mail enquiry line, you are supposed to be routed to a local call centre depending on your location.

However if you repeatedly redial, you can see the call going to various UK locations.

Hi
Thanks for the information. The only reason I believe it is the MD110 is because this translation wasn't presented when the system was on a lower release of software.
The RODDP print for dest 9 are as follows:
DEST=9
ROU=4
ADC=000500000000025000000000
SRT=2
TRC=0
NUMACK=0

The ROCAP print is as follows:
ROU SEL TRM SERV DIST DISL TRAF
3 0130000000000010 5 2100030000 30 128 00151510

SIG BCAP
111100000020 111100

Thanks in advance.

Hi gingermop,

If you have access to Alex you could read up on the following...

../Basic Exchange/Operation and Maintenance, ACS/General/Numbering Chapter 2.2 Number handling.

Snip from Alex...
Connected number Identity of connected B-party. The number which is sent backward in the network from terminating node. Not necessarily the same number as the called number.

If you want to convert this received number...
../Basic Exchange/Operation and Maintenance, ACS/Number Conversion and bearer capability substitution, NU

NUTRI:CNVTYP=2,ENTRY=0870... etc

I think this might do it.
Good luck...

Hi gingermop,

You will have to change your route SERV Digit 10 value to allow Number Conversion.
