I always check this after I close before other activity. This is the first month it has ever been off. I have reset cash balance and that did not make a difference. I have run the BB open item report and plan on comparing that to the GL Trial Balance. A quick glance does not show the amount I am off.
Is this the correct process to find out why cash is LESS than the trial balance?

Thanks, Donna

Check that all of your entries have been posted to the GL. Bank Book will be updated as soon as you post cash receipts, checks, bank book transactions or invoices (if you are using OE Cash). The GL however will not be updated unless you post from subledger, and depending on your GL setup, also post GL entries.

You should also check that no manual journal entries were made to a cash account. This will ALWAYS cause this problem. These entries should be performed as a BB transaction.

I would also run your distribution to GL reports for entries not yet interfaced to GL with a date extending out to 12/31/50. It is possible that a bad date was entered on a transaction and the transaction was never posted to the GL bacause of this.
