Hi,
I've got several Baystack 450 and Baystack 325 switches and want to connect Wireless Access-Points.
SHORT QUESTION:
----------------
In order to manage the AP, I need to define a switch port on the Baystack that is both Tagged for a set of VLANs and untagged for the management VLAN. I haven't seen a way to do this. However it seems that this feature is required by the 802.1Q standard (see 8.11.2).
Detail EXPLAINATION:
--------------------
Since the Wireless Access-Points can affect several VLANs to my wireless clients, the port on which the Access-Point is connected to the Baystack is defined as a Trunk/Tagged port that belongs to a set of VLANs including users-vlans and the management-vlan.
The problem is that my Access-Point management interface can't be tagged: when the AP needs to communicate to the Radius Server, every frames is sent untagged. The AP waits for replies in untagged frames, but since the port is a Trunk port, replies come back tagged and are refused by the AP.
I really need a way to get the switch port egress untagged frames for the management VLAN while egressing tagged frames for al other vlans.
Thank you in advance.
