I'm trying to connect a Baystack 450/400-2fx MDA to an HP 2810-48g mini gbic. I've tried setting both sides of the link to auto-negotiate and disabled auto-negotiate, results are the same either way. I get a link light on the BS 450 but can't ping either direction. The switches are connected via mm fiber. Has anyone tried to integrate Nortel and HP? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

the 400-2fx is two 100baseFX ports.
a GBIC is GigaBit 1000baseSomethingX (SX, LX, CX, etc)

There is no way for them to bridge that ten to one speed gap.

If you wanted a Gig MDA for Nortel 450
SX
LX

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Thanks jimbopalmer, I wasn't sure on the speed difference. I'll change the bs 450 to GB and see what happens.
