Help.

I have a stack of three Bay 450 switch's all with cascade modules. There is a Gigabit FX card in both the top and the bottom switch. These are patched directly into fibre ports in a Accelar 8010.

The middle switch has an empty MDA slot. What I need to do is terminate a 100mb LAN extension in this MDA slot on a 100mb MDA FX card. Will i need to power down the whole stack to put in this card or is it a hot swapable module. Or can i just power down the middle switch.

Thanks in Advance

They are not hot swappable. You will need to unplug it to put the module in.

I finished reading the whole question now. Dont think you have to power down the whole stack just the one you are putting the module in.
