I have a Bay Networks BayStack 303 Ethernet Switch. I'd like to check out this switch but I have no documentation on what console cable to use, what port speeds to set it at, nor how to do the password reset once its up and running. Can anyone help me? I am hoping that a Cisco console cable will work, but I've tried that and gotten nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Is the using guide, it has specs on cable pin assignments and serial parameters.

is the release notes

the latest software is 2.1.1.4.5 feb 26 2001 and is available at Nortels site.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

is the latest I found that you do not need to sign on to Nortel's site for I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

I have lots of them. I believe they are 10 MB half duplex. One 100 MB uplink. They do have HTML i/f for management.

Password Recovery:

Within 30 seconds of booting a 303 switch you can enter “ tEmpEst_sAvEr ” at the password prompt to change the password.

Good Luck,

Tom
