Battery in 206EC module?

Hello Everyone:

I just opened a 206ec R4.1 module and it looks like there's a round button cell mounted to the circuit board. It is soldered to the board.

Is this a battery? If yes, what settings does it store? Last, if it is a battery, mine must be dead by now - where can I find replacement batteries?

There's nothing critical that the battery (memory capacitor) in a 206EC maintains. I wouldn't bother with it myself. It's the battery on the processor module that holds all your program settings.

Thanks brian. I have changed the battery in the Partner II processor. Was very easy to change. If you need a source for these - I know a place that sells them for about 9.00 plus shipping.
