I have a 350T that fails the loopback test during post. When that happens Port 10's 100mb light doesnt go out. I am trying to come up with a way to bypass the port. What I am looking for is some way to enable diagnostic output on the console port to try and find out why it doesnt go, or a way to make the 350 turn of the port.
I have thought about making up a loopback or crossover plug for the port in question, but I am not sure what kind to make. I tried one of 1-2, 3-6, 4-5, 7-8, but that didnt work. Any other thoughts on what to try or any ex-nortel repair people out there. This is for the home network, so I dont think I'll be springing for the service contract.
Incidently, it has "NETICS" silk screened onto the the circuit board between the port blocks so I imagine that will work if I can get it through posting.
