Batch to Recycle Service

When I complained of an unreliable Exchange backup, it was suggested that my agent might be getting clogged up. And that if I write a batch to recycle the agent service before the backup it should work better. Well, I have been doing that manually, and it appears to work.

My question is... how do I write a batch to recycle the service? It is on a remote computer.

HI Debi,

OPen a Notepad ...

Net Stop "Backup Agent RPC Server"
Net Start "Backup Agent RPC Server"

save as .bat

On the remote mahcine, open 'Scheduled tasks' follow the wizard and run thisbatch file everyday about 10 mins before the backup..
