Batch Resize Script

I have a number of uneven height images (each one is different) that I wish to standardise to 300 pixel height whilst maintaining the aspect ratio of each image.

I tried running this on a script basis but it saves the ratio from the recorded image rather than the one to be processed and so my images end up with various heights again albeit closer to my desire standard.

Is there any way to run a resize script that will set all the images to an exact 300 pixel height and maintain it's aspect ratio?

I have already attempted applying a standard canvas size based around the tallest item but this just leaves a lot of white space around the images that start out at lower heights.

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.
