Is there any proceedure for doing a batch process of levels for jpegs with CS2? (image-adjustments-levels) I just haven't found anything specific and what I do find is difficult to interpert at best.
Thanks,

You can write your own action and then set the batch but keep in mind that whatever levels you choose the first time will be used across the board and may give some undesired results on some images. If you're ok with that fact then simply follow the instructions in my FAQ for creating an action and batch processing here: faq229-2791

Got a question? Search G O O G L E first.

Levels and curves are complex commands and one doesn't usually apply them with actions although there probably are times when actions can be of some benefit with levels.

May I suggest you first try adjusting levels with a sampling of pics without using an action to experiment with your results.

You may also want to copy all your pics to a backup folder prior to any actions.

If you do decide to take the action route then SPIDERIX's post is most helpful.

Yes I should have mentioned to backup all your files before doing any actions just in case. That way you could get a mix of images that work well and then you only have x number of pics to have to do manually.

Thanks for the info folks.........Comes in real handy when the several images are all under exposed the same way, and the levels adj would do the trick. Also have the images on 2 separate hard drives as a backup.
FAQ 229-2791 pointed me in the right direction.
Thanks again.
